OUR STORY
In the beginning...
Our story began in 2007 with five ladies and a vision: Provide a place for community of all ages to come together to share in the love of reading. Started completely through donations and with the help of countless volunteers over the years, we are now a Gold Star 501C3 non-profit organization recognized by GuideStar. Since 2013, our grant writing efforts have allowed us to add electronic resources such as a vast ebook library with over 12,000 volumes available online, and e-readers available for public use.
The next chapter...
The library took up residence in our current location on the beautiful Saint Jo square in June of 2021 with the invaluable help of our town firefighters and several amazing individuals that helped with the daunting process of carrying and re-cataloging our physical inventory of books, DVDs and electronic equipment. Today, in 2024, we are looking forward with much anticipation to our future relocation and expansion efforts that will allow us to provide additional resources for our community while still being highly visible and accessible to the public. With your help, we are undergoing ongoing fundraising efforts for our anticipated move in Spring of 2025. Click the button to learn more and to donate to our endeavors. We are grateful for the continued support of our community partners!
